Hello my dearest audience! How are you today? Great I hope, because I feel great. I'm so glad to be back again and blogging. I don't know if my dear friend Ariadne will be back, but for the meantime I'm here. And I warn you, I've become a totally music junky. Also I've fallen in LOVE with the BBC. So watch out if you don't like music or British television because HERE IT COMES!
Let's all make a collective effort to bring Ariadne back! Give her a shout out on her blog Writers World Weekly and maybe we can bring her back!

Good Book Alert!
I just finished the BEST book! It was called The Book Thief.
The story takes place in Nazi Germany, 1939. An unexpected narrator follows the life of an illiterate little girl named Leisel Meminger who one day steals a book from a graveyard on the day of her six-year-old brother's funeral. The book is titled The Grave Diggers Hand Book. This is her first act of book thievery. Leisel's foster father teaches her how to read and soon her hunger for books grows until she is pushed to steal again. However, her world gets a little more complicated when her family decides to hide a Jew in their basement.

Being a Jr.
Yes my name is Zoe Nightshade Jr. And you know what being a Junior is FUN. For instance the other day my dad was calling the airline and they asked for my mother's name. Well my dad said Zoe. Well the lady then said, "no I need her mother's name" and his response was "NO really. Her name is Zoe." Basically what I'm trying to say is being a Jr. in AWESOME!!!!

Swords
For those of you who are frequent followers of our blog you may have realized that I (Zoe Nightshade) am an actor. So me and 17 other people have written a script together over the past few days that, in MY opinion, is epically awesome! Where my train of thought is here is yesterday I was at rehearsals and I got the COOLEST PROP EVER. As a pirate i got an actual antique sword. It's rather heavy and a somewhat pain in the butt because every step i take the sword hits against my leg. But it is SO worth it when I get to sword fight on stage. Needless to say, I am excited. Tell me what is the coolest, prop, trophy, or prize, you have ever gotten while doing something you love in the comments below.

Really?
I'm not sure why, but I was watching Disney channel this morning and I realized that they (being Disney) change their whole theme specifically for summer. Then I was thinking about if they use this summer theme just until the school year begins, or until the actual calendar last day of summer (November 2). Or maybe somewhere in between...
Homework: If you feel like keeping up on Disney Channel or Nick or any other channels with recurring summer themes, let me know when they get back to normal!

Anticipation
Anticipation, as far as I am concerned, is the WORST feeling in the world. Anticipation is basically complete uncertainty and right now I've got a lot of that going on. I just recently tried out for a play and I'm kind of nervous. I mean I know that I did MY best, but is my best enough? And worst of all I have to wait 1 to 2 weeks for the cast list!!! I think my head is going to explode!
What are you anticipating? Post your feelings in the comments below.

Psych
In case you haven't noticed, we are BIG fans of the show Psych. Our profile picture is the main character Shawn Spencer (played by James Roday). The show is about Shawn (a phony psychic) and his best friend Burton Guster (Dule Hill) who open a psychic detective agency.
If you would like to watch Psych, seasons 1-5 are currently on Netflix, ion Television plays marathons on Saturdays starting at 7 PM (mountain time), and new episodes air on USA Network on Wednesdays.

Birthday
You don't need to tell me that it's pathetic that only just about 30 minutes ago did I realize that my birthday is in 6 days. I'm looking forward to some, what I hope to be, awesome presents as always but I don't know how I feel about my party. I invited my 2 good friends, but I honestly have NO idea if they like or absolutely hate each other. Either way I'm looking forward to a great birthday.
Something You Love
In her last post Airy mentioned giving up things you love, well now I'm here to talk about DOING things you love.
For me that thing is acting. Even thought I am extremely introverted, something about being on stage makes me happy. Yes after 5 years in show biz I am a semi-pro, but for me it is not about being the best or getting recognition. For me it's doing it with my best friends. I have been acting with the same group my whole career and some people just keep coming back. My best friend in the whole wide world is a back-stage manager and I don't know why but just the thought of getting to see him makes me love what I do.
So what makes you happy? Is it playing on a sports team? Singing? Writing? Or even just hanging out with your best friend? Post what YOU love to do in the comments below.

Injuries
As many of you may have heard, the Olympic Gymnast Shawn Johnson has gone into retirement due to a knee injurie. My sister has also had a knee injurie requiring her to take a three month recess from gymnastics.
I was wondering, would you give up something that you loved if it was causing you harm? Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Sunbonnet Sue
Here is an AWESOME monologue! I need to practice for an audition so to get it stuck in my head I am going to tell it to the WORLD!
My ambition is to become a doctor, like my father. I'm my father's girl. My greatest accomplishment was when I was 10 years old and i was successful in chopping of a chickens head and dressing it for a chicken dinner. My mother tries to make me do quilts all the time, but I don't want nothin to do with it! It told her "Never in my life will I stick my fingers till they bleed!" very definitely. My sister Florry's a real good quilter, I guess. Mother says so all the time. Florry's favorite patten is the sunbonnet sue. You've seen em, they're like little dolls turned side ways with big sunbonnets on. Florry makes each one different. In one her little foot will be turned this way or that, or she'll give her a little parasol, or turn her hat a little bit. People think they're sooo cute. Let me tell you she's driving me crazy with her sunbonnet Sue's! So I decided to make one quilt and give it to Florry. Like I said I'm not such a good quilter as her but I knew just what I wanted to do with this one. It's real small, twin bed size. I finished it and put it on her bed this morning, but I don't think she's seen it yet. I done some new things with sunbonnet sue. I call it...The Demise of Sunbonnet Sue! I made each block different, just like Florry dose it. I've got a block of her hanging, one with a knife stuck in her chest, eaten by a snake, eaten by a frog, struck by lightning and all burned up! I'm sorta proud of it. You should see it, it turned out real good!
Thank you! Thank you!

Disney Movies
How did this happen? When you were a little kid Disney was the most exciting movies there were, but as you got older the used-to-be riveting movies weren't so riveting movies anymore. I know this probably makes me a dork but I still LOVE Disney movies. What is or was your favorite Disney movie? Post it in a comment below.
Practicing
Some say practice makes perfect but practicing makes me seriously stressed. I'm classically trained in piano but I HATE practicing to the empth degree. I promised my piano teacher that I would practice every day for two weeks straight BUT I CAN'T STAND IT!!!!!!! (it's only been one day!) Let me know what you think on practicing in the comments below.
